Jyotsana Bhumick, 60, in front of her home. Jyotsana has overcome a lot after being displaced by the devastating floods in Assam. Today, she lives here, in a shelter provided by SEEDS India, and with her daughters. Being a woman in rural India, who sometimes lives alone when her children are at work, she feels secure and safe in her new home. She has built it to be weather resistant towards cold winds and heat waves.
